Conscious Sedation

I know you are not supposed to drive for 24 hrs afterwards but how long have any of you waited?  If I recall I feel fine almost immediately.    I was thinking of having my friend, who works next to the hospital, relase me and then I will go for lunch and slowly drive home. 

I cannot find a ride.  My husband can duck out of work by he would loose out on a VERY LARGE payday that particular day.

What are your thoughts?

How much would it cost to take a taxi?

I was going to look into a car service but my husband finally feels bad (after seeing all my effort) that he now insists on driving me.

I had an upper GI test last month. I was up and talking to my husband all the way home, but several hours later, I had no memory of the drive home whatsoever. The problem with conscious sedeation, is that you may look and seem like you are with it, when actually you are not. Don't drive after the test!

We went out to eat after my husband's colonoscopy. He kept insisting he was fine and there was no reason he shouldn't drive. Anyway, after about 10 minutes in the restaurant, he stood up and said he'd be right back. We asked where he was going, he said he was going to pay the bill. We hadn't even ordered yet and he was certain he'd already eaten!

If you get in an accident, even if it isn't your fault, you can get arrested for driving while impaired.
