Bleeding and Mucus- Crohns

I have a friend at work who possibly may have crohns. I told her all bout my UC and what symptoms I get, but she says that she dose not get any bleeding and only gets a clear slim sometimes. I said that she may not get the bleeding and mucus as I do but I was wondering. How may of you guys don’t get the bleeding or mucus and how many do?

I have almost never had bleeding in the seven years I've had Crohn's. I almost always have mucus when flaring, but depending on where the Crohn's is located, you may never see blood.

Also depending on the location of the Crohn's (e.g., how high up in the small intestine), colonoscopies may not physically be able to go far enough into the body. I was initially diagnosed through a pill capsule endoscopy (PillCam).

In all the time I have had crohns I've never had blood but, had slimey bowel movements before I was diagnosed though x
