Hello poobaby1 and welcome to the forums.
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well and I cannot be of help when it comes to biologics, like kazbern, I haven't tried them.
It was up to the point of having Crohn's disease for 22 years that I had no choice in the matter and had a resection. This had been in 1996, I had tried everything available at the time to get Crohn's under control but nothing had worked. After years of flare ups, having the disease for as long as I did, scar tissue built up and I suffered from obstructions.
I had the resection and it had been the best thing to happen to me. A 15 year break from most of the Crohn's symptoms. I had to take Questran (Cholestyramine) for about
a year to absorb bile but other than that, I felt like a new person.
The reason that such surgery, a resection is prolonged is out of fear of short bowel syndrome. The disease has come back, I require a bi-weekly shot of B12 due to malabsorption.
Very sorry to hear about
the issue you had with your job and boss. I had that happen too, my manager formally wrote me up two times. I had been a patient in my very place of employment, a hospital and had been a patient for 18 days. My manager did stop by to apologize, I said to him, "a little too late for that don't you think? All it will take for me to be terminated at this point is to be late one time, 5 seconds, a minute, doesn't matter since I have to punch in on a time clock."
Worked there without incident for an additional year and then moved on.
In any case, I'm sure someone will post with their experience/s with Humira and I hope you feel better very soon.
