No, at first I thought I can deal with it because people have much worse, but as time goes on the lump has become worse. I'm afraid to go back to that doctor because I don't think he's trustworthy. After that surgery, I experienced numbness in the left leg and subsequently had to have 4 spinal surgeries after never having a back issue-ever -in the past. At the post op visit he couldn't wait for me to leave. I actually think something happened during that surgery that the hospital has covered up. When I awoke from the surgery in the recovery room I could feel everything and was in agony. The nurses kept telling me that I wouldn't be able to feel the incision because I'd had an epidural. I had to call my husband to come to the hospital to demand help because they wouldn't listen to me. And I've always been told I have a high tolerance for pain. The anesthesia doctors called me at home and advised seeing a neurosurgeon. I have reviewed the medical records and there was no mention of the numbness and excruciating pain in the recovery room. I am looking for a new surgeon but just not sure which type. Would this come under a thoracic surgeon? Thank you for your time and assistance.
