I'm sorry you feel so bad, I know exactly how you feel. I was on Remicade a few yrs back and it worked great for my fistula. I had to have small bowel resection #3 due to scare tissue stricture. My Dr. took me off all meds afterwards. The Fistula returned about
six months later and I was put back on Remicade. This time it did not work. I felt like a hundred and fifty year old guy. Every joint in my body hurt and I could barely shuffle to bed at night. I felt like you described. And I've always been premedicated before the IV was administered. It was the Remicade causing the issues. I stopped the remicade and in a few weeks all the pain went away. I tried the other Humira, got C Diff and stopped that. Later tried Cimzia, didn't work. Now two to three yrs later (last year) he put on Methotrexate for a while and we tried the Remicade again. This time no joint pain, maybe the Metho. helped in that area? The Remicade closed the Fistula again But my Crohn's (terminal Ileum) is a wreck even on the Remicade. I'm having my 4th bowel resection this Thursday. Of course I'm no Doctor and Meds can treat everybody differently. But it sounds like the Remicade is not agreeing with you. Unforuately this disease requires alot of trial and error of a mixture of drugs to hopefully find what works the best. We understand what your going through and good luck on quick relief. God Bless.
