I am a 39 year old male living with Crohn's, diverticulitis, IBS, acid reflux, gout, and a broken back. I have been treated with Remicade infusion, Humirra, M6P, and all other sorts of meds for this. To no avail none of these haved work. My Doctor who was supposed to one of the best in the region where I live has discharged me from his service. I now have gout and only have a few episodes but am going through one at this time and this is the worst one yet. Having crohn's my diet has changed many times but still have many flares. Between all of the pain and mental anguish I feel that life is reaching to be very short. Note I am the only person in my family with crohn's  and IBS. I need HELP please if anyone has any suggestions I will listen.

Welcome to HW and sorry you are having such a rough time. You absolutely need a GI doctor helping you. When docs discharge you from their service in the US, they are obligated to be available to you for 90 days so you can find another doctor. You may want to get a doc referrral from the Crohn's foundation at ccfa.org. I don't know what happened with you and your doc, but you need medical care!

You may also want to post a new topic, giving your city and/or state of residence and asking if anybody on this forum can recommend a good GI doctor in your area. That's how I found my current (excellent) GI. Good luck! So sorry you're having such a miserable time.

Thank you both! for the quick reply. I have had two other GI docs. since then and they both wanted to run me through the gauntlet again on the same meds I had previously been on. My body cant withstand those powerful drugs again. Still searching for something.
