Hi all!
I haven't been on this site in a while so please forgive me. I've had Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis (my doc's aren't sure which one) for almost 15 years now, it involves my whole colon, from cecum to rectum. I'm now 37, and diagnosed at 22. I've been on Humira since December 2007, before that 6MP, and failed Remicade. Remicade gave me severe drug induced Lupus. It's been a bumpy 15 years, but no surgery, yet.
My question is "Is there anyone on this forum that not only has had Crohn's or UC for a long time and has been diagnosed with Cervical Cancer or does anyone know of someone?"
As of right now, I've had HPV since 2008, and last year had a LEEP in September for Cin II dysplasia performed by a 2nd opinion gyn. The problem is now my usual doctor called me frantically not even week after a recent pap, and told me the pathologist was able to see what he believed to be residual dysplasia and that it could be severe CIN III dyplasia, and also that this 2nd opinion doc, didn't realize that the dysplasia was that big and didn't catch all that needed to be removed. I think I'm basically screwed. Because the beginning of last year there was only mild dysplasia, by September it grew to be CIN II dyplasia, and now I'm having abnormal bleeding and frequent urination but hard to actually urinate.
I'm not saying I have Cervical Cancer yet, or diagnosed properly yet, but I'm curious. I know Cervical Cancer can be or is slow growing but if you're someone like me on Humira, it obviously grows remarkably faster. I can't stop taking Humira and honestly I don't want another leep. So what's happens if you have a long history of IBD and now diagnosed with Cervical cancer and say, radiation is needed or chemo. Has anyone been dealt with this kind of dilemma? I know this might sound shallow, but I care more about
the health of my colon than this stupid cervix. I'm not married and do not have any children, I don't think I can have children, honestly. I hope someone can give some advice who might have had this happen to her. I'm also going to write this topic on the Cervical Cancer forum too. Please help
