Anyone found Cryptoccocus(type of fungus) in stool test in the past?

I'm a bit worried because the special stool test revealed that I have Cryptoccocus and 2 other types of fungus in my system.

It's usually found in AIDS patients who are immuno compromised and I have perfectly fine immune system when it comes to flu season though, just not in the intestine, obviously since I have Crohn's.

My GI told me, he has never seen in patients over the last 20 years and thinks that the test is not reliable because it wasn't ordered by him.

It was ordered thru my holistic doctor.

I'm experiencing some bad IBS symptoms as well and with the current regimen given from my holistic doctor, I'm hoping to get rid of them and may lead to getting rid of the IBS symptoms.

Whenever I was hospitalized(4 times in the past) due to a flare, they always found nada. I've always believed that I had something..

And I just think that the standard lab stool test is crappy except for findings like Giardia or C. diff.

Btw, if anyone wants to know, the test that my holistic doc ordered is from Genova Diagnostics, comprehensive stool analysis 2.0
