New baby!!!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that my husband and I had our first baby this morning! I had a c-section at 37 weeks. She is 4 pounds, 8 ounces. We are so excited! Here's a picture:

How is that possible!?!?!?! Congratulations! You look so happy and beautiful. I hope she gains weight fast and you both get out of that hospital A.S.A.P.

Mazel Tov! (literal translation I believe means good day, but it really means something along the lines of "congratulations" with "good luck" & a bit of "best wishes" thrown in)

Thanks for the other posts you've included about your pregnancy & progress. It's really reassured me about having babies with Crohn's & Remicade!

I wish you & your beautiful family; health, happiness, love, laughs, & lots more beautiful photos!

Thanks everyone!!! It's been a wonderful few days. :) We named her Elizabeth Celeste - Elizabeth is my mom's name, and Celeste is my husband's mom's name. Two amazing women that we hope she'll always look to as examples.

Hoping to go home tomorrow! We stayed in for an extra day because I had a remicade infusion the day after the c-section, and she was so tiny. Because of the CD I don't absorb oral pain meds at all into my system, so it's IV or nothing. Plus not being able to take NSAIDs means there's a lot of inflammation around the incision. But it's not nearly as bad as it could have been, and we fall more in love with this beautiful girl every day.

Thanks for all of your support. I really appreciate this forum and the kindness and help I get here.
