Entocort and Mood Swings ???

Was recently diagnosed. Have been on entocort for 8 weeks. I am having extreme mood swings. I can get really mean. Does anybody have this problem?

entocort is a steroid. you should be using another kind of med so you can get off the steroid. that will improve your mood.

Entocort is supposed to be non systemic and is not supposed to cause the mood swings etc, however the first time I took it I had to stop bc the mood swings were soooo bad. It seriously would have been a defense in a murder case lol. The second time I took it I did not have the mood swings. Prednisone has the same effect, I would just warn my husband when I would start taking my "Crazy meds" lol.

Definitely the Entocort. It's way more systemic for some of us than others, and we get all sorts of unpleasant side effects. Weepiness and/or 'roid rage are just one.
