I'm on the verge of tears. I can't find a position to relieve the pain or just to get comfortable. I know that so many of you have been where I am right now. I just need to get it out. I would scream if I thought it would help. I just took my next dose of pain med and relaxer. I thought the time would never get here. You would think after 7 years of this, I would be used to it. But I'm not!!! I try to focus on my blessings and stay positive. I really do!!!! Please pray for me.

Thank you so much!! I'm in such a state I just realized I posted on the wrong forum. I meant to be on the Chronic Pain Forum. I'm so sorry and embarrassed. I hope you will still pray for me. As I will you. I had a friend many years ago that had Crohn's Disease. My heart goes out to you and what you go through.

My goodness you've been here a long time. Bless your heart.

I'm not used to telling my story or talking about my dx to anyone but my husband and doctor. So it feels sort of strange to me. Hopefully, I will figure it all out and make friends and relationships on here.I lost all of my friends one by one when I got to the point of being disabled and couldn't get out much. I would make plans but when the day would come around, I wouldn't be able to get out of bed. So yeah, its hard to have friends when you can't really get out much, I guess.

Does the IBD in your sig stand for Inflammatory Bowel Disease? Can't help wondering.

Yes, IBD does stand for Irritable Bowel Disease.

I apologise in advance for being pedantic, but Irritable Bowel Disease doesn't exist...

There is Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). They share some similar symptoms (diarrhoea, abdominal pain, gas, bloating), but they are not interchangeable. IBS can be very unpleasant, but it doesn't damage the intestines in the way that IBD does. The treatments are quite different too.

I've seen journalists make that same mistake in news articles, so don't feel bad about it.
