Hi All, I'm new to this site and have found it so comforting at times that I'm not the only one with CD!! I'm going through a rough time lately and would like to see if any feedback could determine whats wrong, past week or so I have eaten food and thrown it straight back up, I've completely lost my appetite and i dont know if this is because I am scared it will leave me in chronic pain. My pains are really bad and not only do I have an imflammed bowel most of the time, but now I get pains in my upper abdomen too! The moment i start to eat food i get pain when the foods go down into my stomach! I'm not on medication at the moment but am waiting for my azathropine, last time i was on this it killed my white blood cells and I felt even worse!the pain even wakes me up at night! I have trouble going to the toilet and when i do its not diahorrea its solid, any help would be appreciated! Family are at receiving end of my moods! Becoming depressed! X
Kellyga, I don't quite know to respond to you in a way that
I promise will help. Well I guess some will appreciate it and some won't. There
is a drug that will nearly stop a Chron’s bout in its tracks. You need to
discuss this with your Doctor. (I am assuming you are 18. if not please bring
your Parent, Parents, Guardian et al. into this conversation. I was struck
with, and diagnosed almost simultaneously with Chron’s. A huge fistula created
a large abscess near my rectum. Very near. It was a Friday and it happened all
at once. I was struck with cramps; I had to go NOW, explosive results. I had a
6 hour drive home. By the time I was home I was nearly dead. The fistula was
feeding a "horseshoe abbess" completely surrounding my rectal area.
The abscess was so hot you could feel the heat. By Monday I was in the
hospital. That was 2004. After 12 more surgeries the fistula was stopped. That
brings us to 2008. Since 2008 I have applied 3 Vicoden a day along with a lot
of other intestinal suppressants. The Chron’s causes my intake to race through
my body. The "opiate ingredient" in many drugs works the same. It is absorbed
through the intestinal wall. It takes a 10/325 Vicoden and 45 min to an hour.
Vicoden makes you feel vertigo for a couple of weeks. I guess that's what
persons call a "high". I think it sucked! Anyway, that went away and
my motor skills returned. That dosage and usage has never changed. If you are a
person who has an addictive personality, don't try it. People die from Vicoden
addiction and it doesn't take long. I never drive until 6 hours after I take a
Vicoden. I may sound like Gramp's here but if you blow it and take more than
one at a time ... ever, you just blew your best get out of Chron's for 6 hours
card. I have had no surgeries and mild to harsh symptoms every day. I use that
as a sign for when to start dosing. The slightest hint and I hit it. 1 pill every 6hrs.
10 years now. Good luck to you and I hope you find a doc who trusts you and you
can trust yourself. Again, I see why addiction happens. In a few weeks you feel
no vertigo effect. If that is what you are looking for, expect loss of
everything you own including your life. Follow the plan and if it works for you
there ya go. No huge Chron's issue!
