Hi there,
Just wanted to see if there are any views. I don't have a diagnosis (of anything) but have had lots of trouble for the past two years - my intestine got swollen and perforated due to diverticulitis and since then I have had lots of problems.
- My colonoscopy notes said I had red slim in my intestine
- There was slight inflammation / banding by a diverticula which they think perforated (I have pain on and off in that location for 15 years since I was 20 which is young for diverticulititis) so I don't know what came first the inflamation of diverticula
- My stomach and duodenum where red
- I have low fecael elstaze (a pancreatic enzyme) but my pancreas looks normal on all scans I have had
- I get lots of pain from the bottom of my ribs all the way to my apendix area and now in my back
- I get very stingy eyes and sore joints sometimes
- I have prostate problems sometimes
- All blood tests are normal (liver, pancreas, kidney, celiacs, blood and IGA panels)
- I have increased intrapithinial lymphocytes, but villi look normal
- Loose stools
I have been investigated for celiacs (but told evidence is not sufficient for a diagnosis), chronic pancreatitis (again they do not think this is the problem because all scans are clear). I had a recent endoscopy and am waiting for results from the biopsies.
Could this be crohns / UC and if so how do you get a diagnosis (and therefore a treatment plan). Can you tell from biopsies?
Thanks for any advice....
