Hi all,
I am currently seeing new doctors, by the recommendation of my GI. I had a colonoscopy done in August that revealed proctosigmoiditis/proctitis with suspect distal ulcerative colitis. I seem to fluctuate between a UC diagnosis and Crohn's.
Anyway, I was given rectal meds and really not feeling much better. Periods of constipation followed by bloody diarrhea episodes, though I don't have blood all the time. My humira dose has been upped to 80mg, but I still feel constant fatigue, extreme bloat and loss of appetite. Last week I had nausea so bad, zofran was not helping and I didn't even feel like choking down water. Yesterday, I thought I had some phelgm in my throat and I coughed up some blood. I have 4 mouth ulcers going on right now..is that an active sign of disease?
These new doctors now want me to have an upper GI and a sigmoidoscopy. These are so unpleasant, even though they said I will be sedated, I am so scared! I have such bad anxiety with every test I do. I mean can 3 months time really make a difference? I feel like none of this is necessary and that I just need to accept this is as good as its gonna get.
