Just wondering if anyone has tried Shakeology and how you tolerated it with Crohn's.  I'm thinking about trying it.

Nanners--it's a meal replacement shake that I'm told has an excellent taste and has all sorts of good vitamins, probiotics, fiber, etc..  It's soy and gluten free also.  One of my friends has recently started drinking it for weight loss and to help her fibromyalgia and she swears by it so much that she became a coach so she could sell it to others. And get it cheaper.

I tried it, the taste was ok (I added some peanut butter and banana to the Chocolate) but I think it made me go to the bathroom more than I normally do. I also only used half a packet.

I have been doing Shakeology for the last month and have had no problems,  I am using it to try and lose weight.  I did end up in the hospital last week but the was cause I had tapered of Prednisone and I just cannot seem to go more than a week or two without it.  I drink it at work for lunch, mix fruit or peanut butter in it.

I have been on Shakeology (also a Coach because I get it cheaper). I was diagnosed with Crohn's in '09 and started Shakeology in Nov. 2011. Since I have been on it, I have more energy, have had "regular" bathroom habits (something I haven't had in years), and feel the best I have (probably since High School and I've been out for 15 years). I was just thinking about trying that myself.  I did notice that Amazon has some sample packs that are being released on June 21, 2012.  Might be worth trying those before dropping the big bucks.  Best of Luck!

Hi,

I have Regional Enteritus (Chroans in small intestines). I've had this since the early 70's. Also had 2 bowel resections. Currently the disease has been in remission. I started taking the Shakeology. I've been doing it for almost a week now and I've run into some issues with gas pains, and tonight bad dierea where I had to take some lomoto and a pain killer Ultram.

I like the flavor of Shakeology but want to talk to my Doctor before continueing with it. I can't afford to have any flair up.

Hello! I was just doing some research on Crohn's and Shakeology and I am glad I found this thread! If anyone has any additional feedback, I have a friend that is looking for more information.

It sounds like there is at least one Beachbody Coach on here that it's working for, but I would be also happy to chat with any of you to see how this has worked for you and if I can be of any help. I'm always researching for the best tools for chronic pain and other issues so I hope to hear from a few of you :)

Most shake/meal replacements about do me in. I can't handle them at all.
