i think why most people put flax seeds in there food is because of the omega 3 and it helps add calories to diferent foods. haveing been said, you can buy fish oil omega 3 capsuals you just swallow and its supposed to be easier to digest. even ground flax seed is very corse and grity, doesn't add a very good taste to stuff you drink. the best sorce of fish oil that i've tried is cora-mega fish oil which they sell in an orange or chocolate flavor squeeze pack that you can add to smoothies and actually has a good taste. good luck and hope your daughter feels better
