I've been diagnosed with Crohn's for a little over a year and the only symptoms I've had so far are weight loss, fatigue, joint pain, and lately a mild pain under my right ribs. GI thought the rib pain might be caused by my gall bladder so had an ultrasound to check it out. Was told everything is fine but I still have the mild pain.
Last night about four hours after eating dinner I started getting stomach cramps around the very front of my stomach not under my ribs. The cramps progressively got worse and I started getting nausea. I was on the verge of going to the emergency room because the pain was so bad when I finally was able to vomit. After that the stomach cramps slowly started to decrease. Does this sound like food poisoning or could it be caused by crohn's? I would tend to think it is food poisoning but about five years ago I had the exact same thing happen and I ended up going to the emergency room. Doctors gave me an IV to kill the pain and stop the vomiting. I spent a day and a half in the hospital and they were never able to figure out what caused it.
The only medicine I am taking is Asacol HD
