Adhesions after surgey

I recently read online that adhesions after surgery are almost a given. It's like a 90% chance. Are these really that serious? I feel okay right now but wanted to get the surgery because when I eat I often feel like my stomach is distended and sometimes I feel like I might vomit. I'm worried that I'm not at the serious need to have surgery and I may be jumping the gun. I have three strictures. Two are 1cm in length in my duodenum. My last one is in the TI and is the longest. My surgeon wants to do a gastrojejunostomy, remove my TI and cecum, and remove two fistulas. One is at my TI and the second is in my transverse connecting a loop of small bowel. Am I just worrying too much???
