heard alot of bad things having gastric bypass when having crohns, can anyone provide insight on this.

I did not have a bypass because of the crohn's, they would not touch my intestines. I had a gastric sleeve procedure about two years ago instead. Lost 80 lbs.

Hi Fignewton,

Why are you having gastric bypass surgery? I had something similar on March 3rd. Its called a gastrojejunostomy roux-en-y. For me it wasn't done to bypass my stomach. Instead it was done to bypass a stricture in my duodenum. I was one of the lucky few with duodenal crohns.
