I am just wondering if one develops drug induced lupus from one biologic medication, if you try another one will you end up with DILE again? Super nervous to give another one a try. Any thoughts out there?

I developed DILE from Humira. I had anti-dsDNA antibodies while on Remicade, and so when I switched to Humira, within 2.5 months I got full blown DILE. Off biologics for about 18 months. Then went on Simponi, a biologic, and will celebrate 5 years on it in June. Haven't had any problems.

Thank you for your reply. I have been diagnosed with CD for 7 years. Had been doing well on Lialda but according to the last colonoscopy not as well as I thought. :( I have not heard of Simponi. I will have to look into that one.
