So I am on a Facebook page discussing the merits of a gym and health an nutrition and the topic got around to nutritional advice and a gyms responsibility. My thought was I don't got to a gym to get nutritional info, that is what a nutritionist and doctors are for. This guy then goes on this rant about
pharmaceutical companies and doctors and how they shove pills down your throat and how you don't need them for chronic diseases. Am I the only one so sick and tired of hearing..well if you ate right and worked out you would not feel bad? Ok, most ppl with chronic illnesses especially of the gut are usually too tired to get up and brush their teeth much less think about
going to the gym. Let's see. I have been up all night with the worst cramps known to man and am basically pooping enough for a village today but let me just go run on the treadmill and eat brocolli..cause that ALWAYS helps right? Grrrrrrrr.
Don't get me wrong..I am totally enamored with exercise right now. I am finally in a place where I feel great and recognize the best way to keep me there is a combo of eating right, exercise and meds. I actually honestly love working out. But it drives me nutso when people who don't even deal with this think brocolli or any other food and exercise will magically make this disease go away.
Ok, I feel better...done ranting now! Off to the gym I go WHILE eating a big ole bunch of brocolli on the way. I'll update you later on my 'cure'.
