Crohn's flare/obstruction or contractions?

Hi all! I haven't been around since my last flare in 2011. I'm just nearing full term with another baby and seem to be having both contractions and Crohn's pains. I'm having trouble deciding which is which.

How did you discern them?

Well, I don't know about the Crohn's pains, but I do know babies. Are your pains 5-10 minutes apart? :)

I wish you the best of luck with your pregnancy/delivery and a happy and healthy baby. Please let us know what happens.

It's nothing regular, but I've got the back pains with it. I'm certainly not at transition or anything. ;) I'm supposed to go in immediately because of another risk factor I have, so I'm trying to pay close attention. I'm afraid these are signs of a Crohn's flare after a nearly three-year remission. Not the best timing.

If you are not sure, then go get checked out...it can't hurt, even if they send you home. How exciting for you...let us know how everything goes.

It was Crohn's. figured out a trick. Contractions are supposed to ease by resting and staying on my side. When they got worse I switched to pacing which helps move things when I'm semi-obstructing. Pacing got things going, they exploded, but the pain waves are gone for now.

Do your GI and OB know whats going on with you? Are you near term? I'm worrying about you.
