I had a
open resection in which they removed 6" of my small intestines, ileocecal valve and 6" of my cecum on June 6th. My recovery was going really well until last week. I have 2 questions. Unfortunately, last week I was told that my sister had developed inoperable brain cancer. Needless to say, I have done alot of crying and nose blowing. I just wanted to know if anyone has ever experienced any degree of burning/stinging sensation near the resection site or incision. It only seems to occur when I am standing and start sneezing, laughing or blowing my nose. Has anyone ever felt this and if so, do you know what might be causing it. The other issue is that i was swatting at a bee a few days ago and twisted and then felt a faint pop near my resection. Had pain for a few days but now it is almost gone. Any feedback on what that might have been? Thank you for your time and God Bless.
