@Kazbern: Thanks for knocking a lil sense into me!
@NCOT: (I read all the 3/4 edited versions of your reply!) Your words were nowhere near discouraaging, they
opened my eyes. My belief in them sorta started dwindling cuz they weren't helping me get better. And thanks for the link, I didn't understand much of it though cuz I dunno abt azathioprine and all much.
And yeah, even though IBD is really complicated and all, there definitely should be better medication for it considering the amount of people that now suffer from it!
@gumby44: By probiotane, I meant probiotics. I think I now get what my doc was trying to do by giving me 6mg of entocort straight away. And I definitely wanna keep my intestines for a bit longer, so ok! I'll follow my meds. Thanks for the scare though. :P
(On a general note, having 3 veteran legendary members reply first up, was, i dunno, pretty darn cool!) :P
@caia_120: you can go med free only after 10+ years of remission?! WTH!
@HabsHockeyFan: I don't have the guts to miss my meds for a whole 2 years! That would definitely destroy my colon! My situation starts getting worse in a few days itself.
@Noulls: I definitely don't wanna be hospitalized. Like ever.
@Larasmom: I'm so sorry u had to go through that and I'm thankful that you shared your experience. I won't make this mistake. Surgery scares the hell outta me, and I definitely don't want that.
@JaSanne: I'm frustrated cuz I don't wanna be a burden on my father. Cuz this thing is not helping my studies, and though we have health insurance which helps and Alhamdulillah we're well off, but I still have grad and PG and 2 younger siblings. You know, being the eldest one and all.
@operatic: Hey, thanks for understanding.
The problem is, n Asia there is a very little % of people with this thing, and I think that's why also my GI didn't seem very 'knowledgable' about
it. And Oh, it's a hell of a challenge!
@isergodur: Wow! It's great to hear that you're med free and in remission, and most importantly ABSOLUTELY FINE! (touchwood)
GENERAL NOTE: Thanks for the reply guys. It made me understand it better, was informative and scared the hell outta me! Which, luckily, is advantageous here! So thanks. And yes, im taking my meds regularly again.
And also, WHAT ARE BIOLOGICS??????
