Recent Crohns diagnosis...passing stool after small bowel follow thru

I was recently diagnosed with Crohns on 4/26. Since then, I've gone thru a CT scan, a colonoscopy and yesterday a barium small bowel follow thru. I'm wondering if anyone might have some experience on how to get rid of the barium and start producing regular stools?

Welcome to HW. I haven't had the barium for 20+ years but I do remember that drinking plenty of water helped flush it out. I also remember how uncomfortable I felt waiting for it to pass.

The barium will pass through on its own if you drink a lot of water. If you are in pain or very constipated, you can probably try Miralax unless you have been told that you have an obstruction. Let us know how all your tests come out and if you have other questions, and welcome to HW
