Hey, I would say make the effort and go see the best at Rubin. I actually have him too and although he comes off a little stern and business like, he is very, very good.
Its your health and its not like you would have to make the drive all the time. Also, he has a nurse, Debbie James, who is freaking great and will go out of her way to answer questions and get you in to see somoene, if there is an emergency.
I have had Crohn's for 32 years and seeing the best doctors you can find, will pay off. Not to take away anything from the Plotkin DR, but at U of C, they are the leaders in the field in Chicago.
