I just want to explode! if one more person tells me how lucky I am to be able to stay home and not work...I just may scream! yes, I am blessed to finally be considered disabled and can stay home, however, it's not the peaches and roses everyone thinks.
Ok, now I feel bad because I know some of yu are suffering and still going to work and school. rant over.
I just wish this DD would go away so I could go back to a normal life and have to complain about work! the pain, isolation and just the never-ending-ness has me very down.

same with me, but not declared disabled yet. had range of motion test yesterday. I get opposite though, I get im lazy for not going to work daily. or how I take advantage of others. (my kids father's family wonderful words about me in front of my kids) I lost custody of my 13 year old twins due to fact I wasn't working n sick all the time. I wish sometimes some people would experience this just for one day. maybe we won't be discriminated against then.

i get some of both. usually from people who don't know me well enough to be familiar with what my symptoms entail. so i inform them, sometimes in gruesome detail, and they shut up.

judge wouldn't listen to details. told me to be more lady like. told him this disease refuses to let me be a lady. I was making it all up, or I was crazy n its all in my head. trying to find atty to take case pro bono

Sorry people say such ignorant and insensitive things (this goes out to this whole thread!). As if we'd not rather be healthy and vital! I know it's hard for people to understand what we go through, but pausing for just one moment and thinking before speaking could really help them realize how absurd their remarks are.
