The very first thing my family doctor did was send me for an ultra sound. In that appointment the nurse or attendant asked me if I had Crohns. She seen right away I had a thickening in one spot of my intestine.
Then I was sent to a near by hospital that did colonoscopy's. They didn't look far enough into my small bowel to see the Crohns. I went to a specialist in Toronto and he confirmed it.
My family doctor put me on prednisone inbetween those two colonoscopy's. Which healed it up real good. But had to be weened off before I went to the specialist. So he could see the problem.
My advice to you is to start a diet that will help you. Like SCDiet. Stay away from foods that cause further damage.
Get a full blood work up done. Make sure your not deficient in any nutrients. Like iron or B12.
Make sure you cook all your veggies, and stay away from hard food like nuts. Even red meat can hurt you.
I lot of people here have problems with lactose or gluten.
Seems to me that people with Crohns get super sensitive to certain foods, even some natural foods. So beware.
Probiotics, vitamin D, and fish oil pills are a good supplements to start with.
And if you like, smoke or ingest some cannabis. I have my card. And after a week on it, I got a lot of my appetite back and some more energy.
I don't know what else to say. But I work 40 hours or more a week as a hydro lineman and I have energy, I don't use the cannabis at work but as soon as I get home....
Anyway, hope you find answers
