Hi, I am coming over from the colitis side. I recently (friday evening) had surget to drain two large abscesses. One inbetween butt cheeks and one next to rectum on left side (near fistula opening). I now have a seton in place as well. They told me they think my colitis diagnosis is incorrect and it's Crohns, so my meds are incorrect. Now I am recommended to take an aggressive approach to treatment, such as encort and remicaid to start. I dont mind, I just want my life back a bit. I've had these abcesses for over a year and the energy they sucked from my daily life, you wouldn't believe. I feel like a human being now that the surgery is done. However, I am not sure how to return to work. I can't sit well at the moment. Left butt cheek is super swollen and with these. It's open, it feels odd to sit. I can lie down, but not sit. The seton isn't bad (ive read such horrible stories, so I'm lucky) and isn't terrible noticeable. I don't have issues with bowel movements, though trying to go less would be ideal for work.
Any suggestions on how to practice sitting or what you did for comfort? I can slump to one side and sit mire on the hip, but then my back hurts.
