just wondering if anyone else has had the same effect from humira? i try and eat healthy and i work out but i just cant lose any weight. i was 155 before i started humira and it was a healthy weight for me but now im 168 and i hate it. seems like no matter what i do i cant lose it. its just not very motivational to keep working out when your not losing any weight. any advice would be great, thanks.

Perhaps you are going to grow taller. Lots of teens gain weight before a growth spurt. Are you all the way done with puberty?

i haven't grown any taller in 2 years so not sure if its that. for puberty i'm probably done.

What's your workout like? Is the humira working well? If you're up for it long distance running is good for controlling weight. You don't have to run fast, either. I run 40 miles a week and don't need to worry about my weight like I used to before running. It also helps with anxiety, etc.

i do a lot of weights and body weight exercises, i also dirt bike which is great cardio. the humira is working pretty well now for about a year. i might try running, thx for the suggestion.

I've never heard of Humira causing weight gain...I've been on it for 7 months and I"m skinny as a rail (female, 47 yrs old, always been on the leaner side compared to the heavy side--heavy during 2 pregnancies and pred days)

Males don't stop growing until the age of 21 so hopefully your weight gain is a result of healthy not sickly issues...though maybe you could get your thyroid checked, issues with thyroid can cause weight gain..so can prednisone.

So glad to hear the humira is working for you. When I started running I got a subscription to Runner's World magazine for inspiration and tips on how to get started. If you are already in shape it should be a piece of cake : )

I'm on Remicade and it has caused weight gain.

I have been on Humira for 5 plus years now, and I have gained weight on it. I still walk my dogs twice a day and I eat the same. You are not alone in this, I have also talked with others with the conclusion.
