Hello,
I had a few quick off the wall questions, I've had Crohn's Disease for almost 10 years now and have been lucky not to have needed any operations as of yet. I am a 35 year old guy and I have been back and fourth fighting with different medications trying to find the correct balance for me over the years, and it seems that since Jan 2011 Humira is really helping me out. I am just over 35 years old and I have had 10 colonoscopys, 4 CT Berium scans, and 2 Upper GI's.... (I feel like a human probe). I had a huge flare Dec 2010 which landed me in the hospital.... the nurse overdosed me on dilauded and I came out of a coma three days later in ICU with havign suffered from Aspiration Pneumonia and a Severe Heart Attack (I was 31 at the time).
So over the years of testing out differnet foods and medications I have had numerous doctors tell me to try the Activia Yogurt or Probiotic drinks.... how ever everytime I have attempted these I imediately find myself in a major flare... Does anyone else experiance this? The doctors always look at me like I am a fool when I tell them that I have such a reaction to these.....
I have noticed that over the past four years I have managed to grow this rather large beer belly, (My 12 year old daughter loves to walk by me patting my stomach asking when I am having a baby) and before anyone says it I am extreamly active and workout at least three days a week. Does anyone else seem to notice that they have a stomach growing in size that they cant control? Or know how to help it?
