the holidays are so hard when your trying to stick to the foods that work for you. i haven't eaten sweet stuff or junk food in months and then the holidays came. I'm trying to recover from a 7 day eat what ever you want splurge. my advice would be stay hydrated and eat bland soft foods for awhile, hope this passes for you and you feel better. hopefully the new year brings healing and new commitments to stay away from ol grandma's sweets(they can be a real pain in the but)
