I posted something about
this a while back but it's gotten so much worse, so please bear with me.
I used to be on Remicaide until I developed antibodies to it and now I take Humira, for about
4+ years. I developed drug-induced psoriasis from the Humira around September I think? So about
5 months ago. I had red spots all over my back, on my legs & scalp (a few on my forearms). I went to the dermatologist and they did a skin biopsy and (a few weeks later) said the test results came back that the skin biopsy was conducive with psoriasis.
I developed this kind of out of the blue, and I don't know what brought it on (I've heard "it's stress" so many time for my Crohn's that it's frustrating when that's a dr's go-to answer rather than just "I don't know".) The dermatologists suggest I talk to my GI about
going off Humira (not an option since I've been on 6mp (didn't work) and Remicaide (eventually stopped working) and I don't know what they would put me on after Humira.
None of the 2 steroid creams/ointments or scalp oil they gave me helped. Does ANYONE have ANY similar experiences? Like can I hope/expect this to run it's course and eventually go away or will I probably have it the whole time I'm on Humira? I have red itchy spots all over, especially my lower legs, back and forearms. I don't want to risk a flare but I can't take the itching anymore.
Any suggestions? Thanks for listening.
