have you checked for tonsil stones? I get them and they make your breath really stink.

i really appreciate all of the responses helping me narrow the possibilities. i had my tonsils out when i was @6 but i had an ent and two other drs check and they found nothing throat related. people say that the entire store where i work smells like a bathroom because of me. i have had the colonoscopy and endoscopy and all the dr found was the gerd and the hernia and the ppi she gave me didnt do anything. if i even just have a drink of water my stomach bubbles and churns and even the day after i eat sometimes i belch and taste what i ate the day before

im pretty sure its not my teeth at this point. and evryone says that im not really dry now that i have been on plaquenil for so long. we r doing the h pylori breath test soon

what does your drs do when ppis dont get rid of reflux or a hernia? what is the next course of action

confused   cry mad WELL My hpylori breath test was negative and the feccal blood test was negative also. but now im wearing a brace on my left hand for tendonitis and nothing is better including the gerd

Have to tried Retardex? it comes as a mouthwash and also as a small(handbag size spray). It is more expensive than the typical mouthwashes (about three times as much) but it may do the job until the cause is established.

retardex? no but i have dr tishers(forgive my spelling) and its so strong  that it has to be mixed with water. i think its worse e few days before my period starts or when my back hurts on the lower right side. my gi keeps saying she thinks i have an infection. she just ordered blood work to check for bacteria and yeast overgrowth. i have mints but nothing helps

 Hadn't heard of the one you mentioned so just did a review search and people have used it to clean things lol.

I first heard about Retardex through a magazine article years ago and ds used it when he had a fungal infection in his mouth(after antibiotics for crohns) The actual mouthwash doesn't really taste of anything (which is strange) but a small sachet of mint flavouring is provided if you prefer the minty taste.

Maybe look at a few of the reviews for it?

well its official. i have three bacteria infections ( e. coli, bacteroides fragilis, and clostridia perfringens). and candida albicans ( IgG-143, IgA- 155, & IgM-240). i am on a strict diet and it looks like this is gna take a while to fix

since my bacteria and candida results i have startd using nystatin and today we added florastor. i have heard good things ubt both but evrythng i read says the two will cancel each other out . im so desperate to have something work that i dont care. i will use them both until i speak to the dr on monday

When Kota was in the hospital and they finally found out he had crohns he had a horrible breath. But it wasnt just his breath. His urine and poop all smelled the same as his breath. I know that sounds gross but it did. I had never seen or heard of anything like that. It got better before he left the hospital. A coulpe of weeks ago he called me into the bathroom so scared becasue he said he could smell that horrible smell again and was so afraid he was getting sick again.

well it's been five years now and things are as bad as ever. i hate to leave my house. now it's so bad that every new dr. i see checks me for liver and kidney problems. the infectious diseases dr. says i need to see a hematologist.

OK well its now 2015 and the breath issue is worse than ever. I recently went to my gp with vomiting and stomach pain and she was concerned it was my gallbladder. I have read that gallbladder issues can cause extreme bad breath. After having an ultrasound it appears that I have a bulky gallbladder and a fatty liver. Is it possible that the bad breath was a sign of liver trouble coming? I am now afraid that there may be some degree of cirrhosis that may have been missed also.
