Marta from Italy.I have active Crohn and C.diff infection.Help please

Hi to everyone!Sorry for my English, I try to improve it!

I had Crohn's desease since 2001.I never never had problems of illness.I only have had in 14 years little stomach pain and some run to the bathroom
So...in December 2014 i started to be sick and depressed and had a lot of D.
I tested for C.diff and i came positive!
Actually i did Metro, Vanco for 2 round...now im better
Im just waiting for the stool sample....i think its negative but....i really hope

My GI say that i need to do a round of Cortisone. But i know that cortisone can relapse c.diff....

Any one in my same situation????

When I had Cdiff, I was on several strong antibiotics and the steroid prednisone at the same time, which I think is a standard treatment. I had to have the steroid to reduce the swelling in my entire abdomen, which was so severe that my back was arched and had trouble breathing due to pressure on my diaphragm. I know it's frightening to be on a steroid, but it can be necessary. It's been almost twenty years since that happened and I haven't had it come back, thankfully. I hope it goes well for you. -Joy
