Has anyone filed for disability or is on disability due to Chron's and if so how long did it take you to get approved or denied?

I was approved after a year. I also have multiple other issues and an ongoing battle with avascular necrosis to my femurs yet they still denied me the first time. My Crohns is classified as serious and have needed multiple blood transfusions so I am probably not the best one to gauge the success of disability but either way, good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I was approved after just two months, but I've been hospitalized 30 times in the last three years, so mine is fairly severe.

Thanks. Mine is severe also. My attorney wouldn't have advised SSA if not.

Has your doctor advised you as well? I would think it's a good idea to have them on board as well.

My physician did first but I decided to consult with my attorney to see what would be best for me for financial reasons.
