I had been experimenting with dietary changes to help control my IBS (crohn's or colitis of some sort... not sure which one yet) with pretty good results. I had heard that there is evidence suggesting that high residue foods may be really bad and that yogurt was really, really terrible and highly inflammatory. I really love yogurt and used to eat it a lot for protein since I am a vegetarian, but I eliminated it along with some other things. about a week and a half ago I started eating it again in order to help stomach the taste of a particular " home remedy" that has kept me well for literally years, and I am now feeling kinda horrible... like I am about to have a flair up... slight nausea, gas, bloat, running to the bathroom often, passing blood and mucus... just not yet as severe as a full blown flair up ( I can still safely leave the house for a while). Is yogurt really as bad as I heard it was? Does it mess with anyone else? I have also been experiencing not really pain, but a tight feeling in my left side, like something is stuck in there or there is something there that shouldn't be ever since I started eating the yogurt. I am in a panic because I was once homebound for a year and a half because absolutely nothing could get this problem under control, until I finally tried a certain controversial "herb" which worked wonders... I am so scared of once again being unable to leave home, be productive, or go to work. I sure hope it's just the yogurt ( gonna stop eating it again and see what happens)!!!
