I wanted to post this update. Since my last post 1.5 months after I started the high CBD I had an appointment with my GI (mid April). He was quite amazed at my CBD experiment as my gut was soft and have experienced no pain. I truly believe the CBD is playing a big part in forcing my crohns into remission. This was the first time my GI put into my medical history that the CBD was helping me.
4 weeks ago I was experiencing burning skin and a rash, also experienced pelvic bone pain and upper thigh pain, hair on my arms and legs was virtually gone. My GI was not available so I went to see my family doctor as I thought it was the methotrexate doing this. My family doctor agreed and ordered blood work stat. Blood results came back normal but I know my body and had .decided to stop taking the Methotrexate. At that time I ran out of Aleve probiotic pills. For the next 2 weeks my gut was not the best and I wondered if the Methotrexate was helping me. I bought more Aleve and took 2 pills. The next morning my gut was back on track. and over the next 2 weeks everything was great. Then I decided to do an experiment. I felt very confident that the Aleve, CBD and eating 4 Lychee a day was helping my crohns. in this experiment I decided to stop the CBD to see what would happen. My gut started turning bad so I took a dose of CBD and everything turned good again. I decided no more experimenting until after June 26 when I will have a colonoscopy. This will really tell me what is going on in my gut, which I feel is doing extremely well. Yesterday I talked to my mother and she said she had some gut allergies and solved it by taking digestive enzymes , I was already taking 1 of these a day but she suggested taking 2 with every meal for the next 6 months. My mother said that she did that many years ago and after 6 months has not had to take them since and all her symptoms disappeared. Today was the first day I took them at this dose so will report later about
the results.
After 2.5 years of a severe crohns flare I feel I have good control of it now. I will continue the program and if my gut turns bad for some reason I will simply increase the dose I am on, then decrease it when the gut improves.
I have not taken the Methotrexate injection for 4 weeks now and in fact have started to reduce my endocort pills with no reprocussions. To help reduce the endocort I bought some capsules and split one endocort into two pills.
I hope this helps people. I know I have my life back due to CBD, Aleve Probiotics and Lychee.
PS I tried eating the CBD but it did not work, vaping it seems to work the best. The best dose is once a day before bed. I take 6 inhales of vaped CBD and hold it until no mist is exhaled.
