Bad Crons flair up was in hospital for 2 weeks

Hi everyone or anyone. I'm 37. Going thur a terrible flair up. Can't eat or get out of bed. I had surgery because I developed an abscess but it's not fissula that the good thing. Can anyone recommend something I can eat that will stay in my body for at least an hour everything I'm eating is running thur me. I'm getting no energy. Need help and don't want to go back to the hospital. I have my first dose of Entyvio on Tuesday any one on it yet? Does it work fast. I'm in desperate need.

Hi George,
Since you are weak and unable to absorb much, you really need a complete nutrition liquid feed. Ensure plus ( or similar) is useful in these situations, as it requires little digestion and is easily absorbed. Elemental feeds are even easier to absorb but taste pretty bad.
You need nutrition to recover ....

If you try the ensure then make sure it is lactose free, I took the lactose one by mistake and boy did my guts let me know.
