Has anyone taken Prepopik?

I'm having a colonoscopy (and upper endoscopy) on Monday morning, so I have to take Prepopik twice tomorrow. I have never had a colonoscopy, but I'm mostly worried about the prep. I'm starting to get really nervous, actually (having heart palpitations). I'm worried because my potassium is slightly low (3.2), so my GI is also having me take some potassium. STILL, I'm scared. Any input would be appreciated!

It's a really easy prep....you don't have to drink much of the prep at all and then clear liquids. Try not to be nervous. You should do fine

I've used Prepopik 4 times now, in my opinion it is the easiest prep to do. It is a small amount to drink and it doesn't taste bad. It is the only one I will use, and I have used 5 other preps.

I used prepopik a couple months ago. It was really easy to drink. It did not start working for me until after the second dose. The quality of the prep was good enough though. I was REALLY nervous about the scope mainly the anesthesia, but everything went fine. It's such a short procedure. Best to you!

If you take Potassium the best is Potassium Chloride, the smaller over the counter pills, take also Magnesium which helps absorb the Potassium. Other Potassium variations are also OK but not as effective.


As a daily regimen eventually end up with 2 pills of each. Bananas are good for Potassium but you will have to eat at least 12 bananas to make a difference ! The pills are a more direct form.

Slee what are your low potassium symptoms did u get it back up?
