As a young man with crohns and an ileostomy, I have come to believe that any opiates I take for more than a week cause me to have awful withdrawal symptoms. I always try to ween myself off to one pill a day before I stop. But once I stop, I begin to have bloody mucous diarrhea every morning and sometimes throughout the day even though I have an ileostomy . I believe this mucous occurs in everyone, which is why many people get diarrhea with opiate withdrawal. Along with this I have very low energy levels.
I am going to always avoid opiates now as I can see the physical damage they can cause me. I am going to look into medical Marijuana or thc pills for pain management tomorrow.
I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on increasing my energy levels as well as any recommended supplements to heal my large intestine? I am going to try b12, coq10, omega 3 and amino acids. Perhaps I need to increase my testosterone levels?
Will try and get blood test to check b12, testosterone, and vitamin d if possible.
