Croons-Colitis means that you have Crohn's disease but the diseased part is located in your colon. With ulcerative colitis, the disease only affects the surface layer of the colon, but the disease is spread throughout the whole thing, but with Crohn's you usually have patchy inflammation, but the disease can eat through multiple layers of intestine. To read more about it, go to www.ccfa.org. That is the Crohn's and Colitis foundation and there are a lot of educational articles and webcasts.
Weight loss comes from either an inability to absorb nutrients because the disease is so widespread, or because you can't eat much because you don't feel well or are having terrible diarrhea. Not everyone loses weight, and it's a good sign if you are not losing. It does't however mean that you don't have Crohn's disease. I hope that helps answer your questions.
