Prednisone and hair growth

I am the mom of a 10 year old girl who was just diagnosed with Crohn's the end of January. She has been on prednisone since the diagnosis. She started out on 30mg and was actually in the process of weaning off of it when she either had a relapse or caught a virus. Doctor said its hard to tell between the 2 since same exact symptoms. They put her back on the 30mg and all of a sudden I have noticed all of the hair she is growing all over!!! Her back is just horrible and sadly it's dark brown. She is starting the to be weaned on Monday so was wondering how long it takes for hair to disappear? So very hard on a young girl especially with summer around the corner. I had to take her today to a salon to have her lip and eyebrows waxed since she was so self conscious! I am new at all of this and it's breaking my heart that this is all happening to her. Just horrific what these kids go through. Any advice or help very appreciated!!!

I have excess facial hair growth and body after taking dexamethasone...how can this hair loss? Im worried because i not hairy when the time im not taking a steroid medicine.
