Full back ache and IBD?

Hi Guys,
Do anyone else experience dull side and back ache with IBD? I keep getting this? I don't know if this is connected with my recent diagnosis of enteritis colitis! I am still under a question mark for early chrons. Also when Iv eaten I get a pain almost like someone's holding an object firm and hard to the left and right of my belly button!

I am still not very educated on IBD and I tend to read lots on the net!

Just wondering what symptoms other than the Usual that people may get?

I get side/back pain sometimes, right about where my kidneys are. It isn't my kidneys, though. Since the intestines go pretty much everywhere in your torso and can radiate to your back, you can really get pain anywhere. I think we tend toward achy spots just depending on where our disease is/was. If it's a pain that is in the same place, I don't worry too much (unless it's very severe). But if it's somewhere new all of a sudden, then I start to pay attention and check it out.

Thank you for your reply. Yes!! That is exactly where it is on me round the kidney area! It's such a deep dull ache, and yes it's pretty much in the same spot? Sometimes it's on one side sometimes the other but then could be both. Hmm worth baring in the mind when I see my consultant next!

I've experienced that same pain. I thot it was my kidney since I've already had 4 stones in the past. The CT scan showed my kidney was fine. The Dr never gave me an answer as to why I was experiencing this pain.
