Lowering Dosage of Humira

I have been on Humira since 2010. I started off taking it once every 2 weeks. Then because I started to feel sick on the days leading up to my next injection I was pushed up to once every 10 days and eventually to once every 7 days. I have been injecting Humira once a week since 2011, so the majority of the time I have been taking Humira it's been once a week.
I have been in remission this entire time. So, My doctor asked me last year if I wanted to try to take Humira once every 2 weeks. I thought about it and told him I'd rather stay on it once a week since it is working.

Fast forward to now,I moved last month to a different state, so I had to change doctors. Luckily, my new GI seems like a good doctor. Now, he suggested I go down to once every 2 weeks as well and this time I agreed. The idea of taking less Humira is nice but I am frightened about flaring up. My new GI says that if I notice that I start feeling pain on the days leading up to my next injection, then We can just go back to once a week.
Has anyone lowered their frequency of injections with success?

What is the reason your doctor is giving you for reducing your dosage? Unless you are having financial difficulties with this frequency, I think it is a very bad idea to change something that is working.

Caia - your story sounds similar to mine. On Humira, flared up, required surgery, not sure if current remission is from surgery or from medication. Except my doctor stopped the Humira, saying I failed it, and put me on Entyvio for maintenance. Though I think the Entyvio is doing something because my fistulas just closed up a few months ago.
