I am a 35 year old female I was diagnosed with Crohn's in my small intestines(terminal Illeum) and also in my large intestines at the age of 27. My GI doctor and Rheumatlogist doctor both believe I have had Crohn's since I was 2 years old when I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis in my right knee. Both doctors believe that the Crohn's was manifesting in my knee joint at the time and causing damage in my intestines without any signs at the time because when my GI doctor did my colonoscopy the first time my crohns had caused so much damage I had to get a small bowel resection 2 weeks after because I ended up in the hospital with a obstruction from inflamation, strictures and scar tissue from all the years of damage t hat was caused the first resection was in 2007 and I had my second one in 2014.

I was in the er tonight because I have bad right lower abdominal pain with nausea and of course diarrhea. Well bloodwork came back fine which it always even if theres a blockage or inflamation. They gave me nausea med, IV dilaudid and steroids through IV and sent me home with prescriptions. The didn't do any scans because I have had so many done. My ? is I have been getting this pain and I know its my crohns but the er doctors sometimes act like I dont k ow what I talking about. I am wondering does anyone else get the pain in the lower right side from their crohns if so what do you do to help relieve the pain. I am scared that it is a blockage, stricture or adhesions and scar tissue again and I will need a resection or scar tissue and adhesion removal. I am wondering if anyone has this pain and if thats what their pain and nausea was caused from.

Yes, we are on the same boat. I was originally diagnosed having ulcerative colitis in 1974 and later on diagnosed that I have Crohn's disease. I had been through Remicade which helped but my doctor got me back taking Pentasa, Prednisone, Imuran, Prevacid (for GERD) and once in a while I take 5 mg of Diasepam (valium). Sometimes, I do have pain below my right abdomen and it goes away. I started taking AloeCure when my wife and I started to live in the Philippines temporarily. It has helped me a great deal with my acid reflux and my hemoglobin (spelling ?) count went up to over 13 from over 9 when we arrived here in the Philippines in 2011. I am still taking AloeCure here which I buy from a Distributor in Manila.
Please change your diet - avoid sugar, fried food, spicy food, alcoholic beverage, soft drinks, and anything acidic like coffee, etc. and no pork at all. So, far I am doing fine.

mommy35 What medications are you taking for your Crohn's. The lower right side is where your TI area is. You are right that it could be inflammation, adhesions or a stricture with blockage.You need an MRI or CT if the pain is bad enough to drive you to the ER. When do you see your GI again?

I agree with Gumby44 that an MRI or CT is needed to find out if you are going through a flare in that area. When was the last time you had a colonoscopy? Are you on any medication for your Crohn's? I have Crohn's in the same area and have had pain while in a flare. I have also had bloodwork done while in flares that came back fine. I really do not hold much stock in bloodwork results. I personally have had multiple CT's in the last few months and they were also misleading. If your pain is chronic then it is worth bugging your gastroenterologist to find out what is wrong and get the proper care you need. I wish you luck in finding relief soon.
