I think a sore throat on its own isn't usually an issue. If you have a fever, they want you to wait until it's gone to get an infusion. And if you suspect you have strep throat, then you'd want to get swabbed for that because you wouldn't want to do an infusion while you had an infection like that.
But a mild sore throat in the absence of other symptoms....I wouldn't worry about
that.
If you've been in a flare, sores in the throat can be a flare symptom. I used to get really painful sores that looked like canker sores toward the back of my throat while I was in a flare. They hurt a LOT, but I could tell them from strep because only the spots with sores would hurt. With strep, my entire throat would be swollen and sore.
Regardless of whether you think your sore throat is due to a drug side effect, a flare symptom, or just "I have a mild virus", you should mention it to your infusion nurse because they should make note of your symptoms so your doctor will be able to see a pattern if this sore throat is related to either the drug or your disease.
