I think Remicade started working but ...

The first thing that made me notice that Remicade has started to work was my proctitis. I used to exhaust every possible rectal med to put my proctitis at bay but in vain. After I had taken my third loading dose, I noticed that my proctitis calmed down. Def, I attributed this to remi.
Now, my proctitis is flaring up again. I'm only 5 weeks after the loading doses and the 4th dose is 3 weeks ahead. I know very well that the loading doses are not counted in, at least this is what my GI has told me. I'm trying to resume taking the steroid suppositories again until the proctitis symptoms subside.

Sounds promising. After your first infusion you should see some good results with the proctitis by the sounds of things.

Maybe you just need to have it more frequently. I never made it to the 8th week without symptoms. We did a level before an infusion and I had no remicade in my body by that time! So I'm now doing it every 6 weeks and it's working wonderfully!

I'll try to talk to my GI about increasing the frequency of the infusions. Raised this issue up w him before and he replied that this is only done with severer cases. Will see how things go on this time.
