Sores in mouth, related to crohn's???

Hello everyone for the past month I have had sores in mouth. I flared really bad about the same time because of all the antibiotics I have been on (that's another story). Anyway I have been to three doctors and they all thought it was thrush. Needless to say I have been on three different antifungal medications to treat thrush and here it is a month and a half later and I still have the sores. I went to my ENT today and he said it's not thrush but couldn't tell me what it was, just said that I have sores. I've heard of people getting sores in their mouth from Crohn's but I'm not sure what they look like. Mine are like little bubble zit looking things on the roof of my mouth and then I have some large ulcer looking sores in the back... they also go down my throat and are painful and make it feel like I have a sore throat. If anyone could let me know if they have experienced anything like this I would appreciate it! I'm sick of this!!!

Before I was diagnosed in 2007, I would get them CONSTANTLY. They'd be white and round and I'd get them all over in my mouth and throat. I'd have them on my gums, tongue sometimes, but usually throat. It was common for me to have 6,7, even 8 at once. They stung and were very uncomfortable...it hurt to eat or drink anything and I had 2 days, literally, 2 days in about a year and a half where I didn't have at least one of them. As soon as I started getting treatment for crohn's, they went away and have never come back thankfully. I try to find bright sides in all of this disease garbage and, if there is one about these sores it is this, my girlfriend is a kindergarten teacher and gets strep throat maybe once a year at the start of the school year. Since I had these sores so often for so long, if I get strep from her, eating doesn't bother me because I've already had much worse. :) Try to find any silver linings you can it helps a bit.

You can totally get oral Crohn's. I usually get apthous ulcers underneath my tongue right about the time that I'm starting to flare up again. And they hurt like crazy...the aphthous ulcers look like small white raised bumps on the area of the mouth with unkeratinized tissue (like under the tongue, inside of the cheek, right below the gums).

You can also get oral Crohn's which looks like raised white lesions that can be rippled or look like aphthous ulcers. Or you can get raised red area that look all raw...I can't think of the laymen's term for it, but we call it an "epulis" in dentistry. Crohn's can appear like that too..

I'd recommend seeing your dentist. They'd be able to diagnosis it for you and possibly prescribe a mouth rinse. There's something called "Magic Mouthwash" for aphthous ulcers that has a topical steroid in it and some numbing gel. From what I hear, it works pretty well...

I also notice that I get sores after I eat certain foods. When I cheat that's when they start to pop up.

I. Had a mouth full of sores. Couldn't eat or drink. Went to the ER. They gave me a steroid to relieve it. I. Ended up being admitted to the hospital. The sores were from the crohns. They gave me a ton of antibiotics. It just so happened I went septic. My wbc went to 0.08. Not good.

My crohns was and is very active. I am now on Humira. I am praying it is going to work for me. Just want some relief.
