I find this quite interesting, is it the action of the antifungal on adhesion molecules or antifungal
activity. Put some crohn's people into remission.

I've looked into it a little and tried a few anti fungal ideas. I think the well known and often tried for IBD conditions the SCD is based upon starving yeast and fungal growth. The theory being that a fungal/yeast growth is causing problems in the digestive track, and the situation might be helped by avoiding carbohydrates for years to starve it out. Additionally taking healthy bacteria is suggested. I'm not sure what to make of it, other than the diet ideas seem to work for some, and not work for others. Probiotics have not helped me. Avoiding grains and limiting sugars helped some but was not a cure.
I haven't been there in awhile, but the web sight, Know the Cause, has a good amount of information on ways to approach fungal infections, with diet, supplements and drugs. One of the sights articles can be seen here:

I'm chuckling about
mentioning it since it is an odd idea, but it possibly might help the gut by increasing oxygen levels in the body. One theory that I read is that fungus and yeasts prefer low oxygen environments. Increasing oxygen to tissues can help improve mycobacteria infections. The idea is called grounding/earthing. I just mention as I've been earthing for around 30 minutes a day in the back yard of late. For what ever reason my gut has improved nicely. Don't know what is going on. The effect is short lived, lasting a day. One theory has grounding creating H3O2 in the body, increasing oxygen levels.

I've wondered if hyperbaric oxygen treatments, often used in cancer treatments and for divers experiencing the bends, could help.

I have been on diflucan for 6 weeks, no luck. I tried Valtrex too for over a month. I think things may improve slightly in my head, but afterwards, it remains the same. So frustrating and sad to me.
